Testimonials

Perspective has completely changed the way I think on and off the mat. Nate and I have worked on believing and building my capabilities both as a wrestler, and a human being. We have worked together to build my confidence when I step on the mat and have picked apart things that I needed to work on. For example, building a good warm up and cool down before and after matches. Without this training and the things that Nate has done for me, I wouldn’t be half of the wrestler and human I am today.

Nate Jackson and his program was extremely beneficial to me in multiple ways over the course of 6 months. Nate was someone I trusted completely, and I knew that anything I said to him concerning my fears, my dreams, or even things I’m struggling with, he would give me his best advice. The lessons were great tools for me to use and helped me progress my mental maturity exceedingly quick. More importantly, having Nate to talk about his personal experiences and struggles as a wrestler helped me understand how to try and overcome the challenges of wrestling in college.

This year was strange however because I was not able to wrestle a majority of the season. I have had an unknown illness that kept me sidelined from the mat until late May. Instead of packing things up, Nate embraced this time as an opportunity for me to progress in a lot of different areas in my life outside of wrestling. During this time, I was fighting a lot of demons, and having Nate to talk to just about my current state was very helpful. We talked about things like habits, faith, mental health, being a better teammate and overall person, as well as many other small aspects of life that have made me mature and progress so much in the past few months.

I am extremely grateful and thankful for all the time and effort he put into me during the last 6 months. There was never a day where he came unprepared or uninterested, and he always made me feel like the things I was saying had importance. I’m hoping to be able to work with him again if I’m able to return to the sport. 10/10

I thought Perspective was really effective at helping me identify my mental weaknesses and helping me fix them. The program helped me wrestle with more freedom on the mat this year, and I had more fun since it helped created a worry free mindset. Thank you Nate Jackson!

Hello, my name is Andre Allen I am an NCAA Division 3 college wrestler. My honest thought on the wrestling perspective training is that I really enjoyed working with my coach and I do believe it improved my wrestling. I think since starting it in November it has really helped me mentally focus on my goals in wrestling but also outside of life as well. I was looking forward to meeting with my coach every week to talk about getting better mentally when wrestling but also finding my why for wrestling. Wrestling is mainly 99% mental and 1% physical and during my wrestling career I think I was missing a little bit more of the mental side and that is what this training has really helped me with. Overall, I enjoyed working with Nate and my time with Perspective.

This has made me realize that I need a better perspective for wrestling. We have gone over so many topics and scenarios over wrestling and life. It has boosted my confidence. It makes me feel good about myself.

Perspective in my opinion is one of the factors that made me jump my wrestling level. It, in a way, changed how I view wrestling. The biggest thing was it took away all my post match nerves for the most part.
